Del Sur Ranch House

Rental of the Del Sur Ranch House is a one-of-a-kind homeowner benefit

While open to the public daily as a welcome center for the community and for sustainable living and interior design ideas, the Del Sur Ranch House is also an exclusive venue for events and celebration, available only to residents and invited guests.

Only Del Sur residents have the opportunity to rent the Ranch House for private parties like weddings or other milestone events, ” explained Bernadette Ramirez, manager of the Community Services Council. “We also have residents ask to use the Ranch House for family portraits. It’s a beautiful setting that perfectly epitomizes the Del Sur lifestyle.”

The indoor-outdoor flexibility of the Ranch House allows year-round enjoyment and can easily accommodate as many as 200 guests. The kitchen is caterer-friendly, and individual rooms may be used or closed off, depending on space requirements. Residents may check Ranch House availability and make reservations on Del Sur’s intranet site, www.delsurcommunity.org.

Oak Valley Middle School and Del Sur Elementary School Foundation have used the Ranch House for their annual fundraising events the past few years, and many adult social events have been held there. Next on the social calendar: All adults in the community are invited to attend Oktoberfest at the Ranch House during the last weekend in September (for details, email bramirez@delsurcommunity.org).

The Ranch House is more than the perfect party place. It is also San Diego’s first building to achieve Platinum LEED certification from the US Green Building Council. With its design influenced by the original rancheros at Black Mountain, the Del Sur Ranch House serves as a showcase for environmentally sustainable design and living practices.

In addition to Ranch House privileges, Del Sur residents also take advantage of the community’s six neighborhood parks and five year-round swimming pools for their outdoor entertaining needs. Residents may reserve park space for smaller events like birthday parties, according to Bernadette, who says she receives two to four park reservation requests each week.

The community of Del Sur is located in the coastal hills of San Diego, between interstates 5 and 15, just north of state Route 56.

Del Sur is home to the Poway Unified School District’s top-rated Del Sur Elementary.

Eight new home neighborhoods are now selling at Del Sur, with prices ranging from the high $400,000s to the $700,000s. Some 20 model homes – featuring attached, detached, single-level and multi-story floor plans– are open for tours by top homebuilders, including: Standard Pacific Homes, Shea Homes, William Lyon Homes, California West Communities and Davidson Communities.
