The San Diego Chinese Bible Church, whose proposal to build a new church campus in the 4S Ranch/Santa Fe Valley community has caused recent debates, held an open house at the 4S Ranch Library on Wednesday of last week. The aim of the open house was to educate community members regarding the proposed plans and its potential impact on the surrounding communities. Representatives of the church hoped to ensure community members that the propsed plans will have few negative impacts on the area as well as reinforce the mutual respect and appreciation for 4S Ranch/Santa Fe Valley shared by both community members and church planters. The San Diego Chinese Bible Church offered answers and responses to the "5 Myths About the Church", namely that it's a "Mega" Church Project, the Church will cause traffic, the Church is a safety hazard, it's an environmental hazard, and the Church doesn't care about the neighbors.
Overall, the open house served as a venue for community members and residents to share their ideas and concerns. The San Diego Chinese Bible Church stressed the importance of hearing what the community had to say so that they might work contructively and consider changes and incorporate new ideas.
